I thought I saw this- the swellings- but wasn't sure if I was seeing things. He has problems it seems. I'm surprised they still have them on display and have not taken him away from her.

A lot of speculation. The zoo responds to inquiries with a PR letter. No one understands why any of this is acceptable to the zoo, they defend themselves and their choices but as he gets older, issues are heaped on issues. It could just be that they took a risk leaving him with her and now they are stuck with something they don’t know how to deal with. But, honestly, I don’t think it’s a good to twiddle your thumbs and wait to see what happens. Poor little thing.
