I'm curious to see if any of the projects will be completed on time.
I thought that the Predators and Red Ape Reserve exhibits were delayed at some point.

The Zoo Train will be temporarily out of service until winter of 2014 while a new train route is being constructed.

The train isn't going away permanently (some people think that). Just no rides for a while.

Hopefully this is one construction date they'll keep to. It seems to be that they're usually delayed with the predicted opening of some exhibits. I'm sure a ton of visitors will be furious if they don't have a train till 2015.
 
The smallest lion cub is back with her family, and now the kids need names

I'm kind of amazed they did not pick any names from the Lion King movies.
 
More lion cub news.
The cubs and mom get to go out into the exhibit space for short periods of time. Visitors that are LUCKY enough to be at the zoo at the right time can see them if the temperature outside is higher than 55. There's not a set schedule for the cubs and their public debut may not be till the weather gets a lot nicer.

I should be visiting Portland soon, and with my luck it will most likely be raining for my entire visit. Because that's usually the way it goes.
