Has anyone heard of facilities in cameroon, africa called ornithological farm west? They have some what of a web page, but ive been told that cameroon is the land of scam. Has anyone heard or dealt with this place?
 
Reading the website and being told that they are one of the larger exporters of African wildlife while their species list contains squirrel monkeys and capuchins made me frown a bit...
 
definitely sounds like a scam. Apparently Cameroon is well known for animal export scams (mostly involving dogs, where you order your desired breed, send your money and never see any result -- quite why you would want to order a yorkshire terrier or English bulldog from Cameroon rather than from a breeder in your own country escapes me somewhat but never mind).

As jwer says, for an exporter of locally-caught African wildlife to be advertising squirrel monkeys, capuchins and kangaroos is a bit of a give-away. Not sure why you would want to be part of the trade in wild-caught endangered species anyway, but whatever floats your boat.

I wanted to buy them only in birds, not any squirrels or endangered mammals.

among birds listed on the site are African grey parrots which require CITES licences for export. It is well known that wild-caught African greys from neighbouring countries which prohibit their export are smuggled into Cameroon for laundering and then exported from there with false CITES licences. Just from looking at the site I personally have no doubt that this outfit is either an outright scam or is dealing in illegally obtained animals, and by buying anything from them you are simply supporting this trade.
