Adelaide Zoo Our Greater Flamingo recovering

So now we can all post YouTube, as well on zoochat! Well done Sim

It's been horribly hot in Adelaide recently; over 40 degrees celsius day after day. But it's nothing new:
An old book that I have about Adelaide zoo states, "The year 1914-15 was one of severe drought throughout the State and it had a serious effect on the Gardens (zoo). No reservoir water was allowed to be used either for irrigation or for filling ponds. As a result the flamingo pond had to remain empty and these birds suffered most severely. Five of the twelve died and several of the remainder, some of whom were up to 26 years old, were not in good condition. It was said that, with the absence of water in the pond, their feet became so sore that they could not stand."
