Wow...I've never heard of this place before tonight and looking at their website I can see they have some pretty cool animals e.g. little penguins, boobook owls.

Has anyone been here and can give a review. :)
 
This park is run by a trust that is involved with wildlife rescue and has one of the most committed Directors that you will find anywhere. Unfortunately her working life is hampered by a lack of funds otherwise this park would really be on the map. Having said that, the park enjoys very strong local support.

Many of the animal residents were rescued animals that were rehabilitated by trust members but were not able to be released. Some features include a nice walk-through aviary with Bush Stone Curlews, Laughing Kookaburras, Black Swans, Crested Pigeons etc, VERY tame Eastern Grey Kangaroos, Koala, lizard pit, Wedge-tail Eagles, Barking Owl, Boobooks, Possums, Dingo, Common Wombats, the usual suspects from the Cockatoo world, Deer, Emu and those Fairy Penguins.

This park is worth your support.

Steve, did this park used to be called the Ettamogah Sanctuary?

I have been past about 20 times and always wanted to stop driving and go in, but alas, the decision was never mine. I had thought that it had closed down.

Is this the only non-ARAZPA member wildlife park with fairy penguins?
 
Yes - this is the former Ettamogah Sanctuary. They changed the name a few years back to be trendy and attract the nerds and geeks. Didn't work!

It is still very much open to the public but is now harder to access since the completion of the Albury by-pass.

Some non-ARAZPA parks have Fairy Penguins - Featherdale immediately comes to mind.
 
There are also private individuals in South Australia who have Fairy Penguins... Oh i mean Little blue penguins :)
