Paignton Zoo Paignton Mammal List

He and his son had to kept separate as they were fighting, or so I heard. I'm guessing they will get a new female or male and send off one of the siblings, unless they keep the siblings for show only. Maned Wolves had me worried though as I thought it was yet another species for the chop, but luckily that's not the case. Sadly there seems to be almost nothing but bad/sad news coming from Paignton lately.

Had it not been for the ban on movements because of TB, no doubt the maned wolf cubs would have all left by now. I think I saw something about them having lost their places in the queue. I haven't asked, but it could be that the two wolves I've seen are the parents back together again.
The zoo hasn't had the best two years and has had to put a lot of effort, and presumably expense, into erecting badger-proof fences everywhere. Let's hope that things are on the up soon. And the Lego animals are coming to thrill us all ;)
