It is the first male they’ve had - believe he came from Prague
As far as I know there has been a male blue sheep since the arrivals of the animals. I' m pretty sure I saw it in an episode of their tv-documentary but I never saw it in the exterior.
Weird....I could’ve sworn they only ever had two females. I think I remember them posting about their new arrival earlier in June...
Definately only two females in May and now news of this male's recent arrival. What I wondered was if they had lost a previous male or not. Probably answer is no?
Believe in classic Pairi fashion they started with only a single sex group (so the females) and then added a male later. Same happened with their Japanese macaques recently - when myself and @TeaLovingDave visited a couple weeks ago I noticed a male in with the three Amsterdam females they previously had; asking a keeper I discovered he arrived from Wilhelma in the past few months.
Someone on another site also said its the first male Blue sheep they've had, and also mentioned Prague.

I have just been reading about the opening of The Last Frontier and it got me interested in the growth of the zoo, and wondering when the other worlds opened. Apart from the actual park opening in 1993, all I can find is that Kingdom of Ganesha opened in 2009. Anyone able to help?
That is a question more easily asked then answered, as many of the worlds have significantly grown since the official opening and the official guides do not give such information. But this is something of an overview, mainly from the French wikipedia:

- Land of cold with polar bears, walrus, amur tigers, penguins and reindeers and different accomondations (end 2019/ early 2020)
- New parking area (several times larger than the existing one) (in 2020)
- 9th World: Dessert
- 10th World: South America (according to discussions in the French Forum 'leszoosdanslemonde' potentially including a 'dome' for tropic animals from all over the world)
- Overall objective for number of beds at Pairi Daiza Hotels is 5000 - including new offerings in the existing worlds (e.g. Middle Kingdom)

Pairi Daiza announced today the start of the construction of their new parking which will be covered by a huge (10 hectar) solar system which will produce more than 20 GW/a - significantly more than the consumption of the entire parc. The additional power will be offered to guests to load their electric cars and fed into the public net.
This will be the largest solar system on top of a car parking in the world and the largest solar system facility in Belgium. The annual savings of carbon dioxide is estimated to be 6.860 tons.
The project is planned to be finished in spring next year.
