Any idea how old the other individuals of these African spurred tortoises might be Centrochelys sulcata?

Arrival of two dromedary camels. New species for the park.
They will be mix with the somali wild asses and the scimitar-horned oryx in the new dry african plain.

Other new species : 8 greek tortoises arrived from a seizure. They are off-show except for those who are doing the activity "keeper for a day".
Zoodyssee received the same number of tortoises.

From what I read somewhere on the net the building will be 300 square meters.

And a news : according to zootierliste a pair of silvery-cheeked hornbills arrived a few months ago. This news must be verified as there is no place to put them on show now. If it's true I guess the birds will go in the new okapis area. Will see next year !

Will see if it is confirmed as, sometines, the brochure are not good. But, for sure, this place could be very good for such a species.

Some new info about the okapi exhibit : there will be three outdoor enclosure and the okapi building will be accessible to the public.
Other important news : the exhibit will welcome sitatunga, blue duiker and wattle crane :)

The new flyer confirm the species indicated in the brochure so the okapis will share their three enclosures with sitatungas, blue duikers and wattle cranes + a small antelope looking like a dik-dik is drawn so maybe another new species

Sadly, Kedou, a 15 years old male kordofan giraffe, passed away. The park still has 3 other bulls (bachelor group).
