Le Parc des Félins Parc des Felins news

This is pretty big news.

The website, Facebook, Instagram have been changed from Le Parc Des Felins to Parcs Zoologiques Lumigny. Apparently they now have two parks and if I am reading the French correctly they are next to each other. (Can @Michel L'HUILLIER confirm this?).

In addition to the original Le Parc Des Felins (which has cats) they now have Terre De Singes (which has monkeys and lories/parrots). This website is a landing page for both parks, from which you can use a tab to get information on either one: Accueil - Parcs Zoologiques Lumigny

Yes, Terre de Singes is just in front of Parc des Félins, and owned by the same boss.
And you're right, you just have to cross the road to visit one or the other.
They make a discount if you want to visit both parks, the same day, or even 2 different days.
At the beginning of this year, they merged their two digital platforms.
 
I visited it last Friday for work. An amazing collection of cats, really the best in the world and the speciemens are all wonderful. Some enclosures are nice/very nice (the landscape is fantastic, so it helps a lot), e.g the system of indoors for the sand cats (4 kittens, wow!) is one of the best that I ever seen and the enclosure for all the tiger species (but also lions and cheetahs have large natural areas...) are very large and naturalistic, the best choice possible.
I found too big and wasted the impressive area for white tigers, as they are not interesting animals from a conservation point of view and the occupy such an immense space; I understand that they are animals loved by common visitors (business is business..), but I hope that in the future that area will be reserved for other really endangered animals.
 
Since the redo of their website it is much harder to keep up on births. They don't list them in a news feed like on the old site - basically you have to scour through Facebook posts. From what I can gather (both posts and photos) these are some of the births for 2019:
two Malayan tiger (see post above)
two Eurasian lynx (Siberian I think, but they also hold European)
one (or two?) bobcat
three puma
one or two serval
one? caracal
four? sand cat

Replacing 1.0 Sri Lankan Leopard PORTHOS moved to Cordoba Zoo, a "new" male has arrived NEGOMBO, born 16/05/2011 at Parc des Félins (sire : TOM, dam : YALLA (YALA)).
He comes back home from CERZA (Lisieux Zoo).
 
For a limited time (how limited I am not sure) this park and their sister park (Terre Singes) are offering souvenir tickets that resemble a Euro bill. It has a large zero on it for the monetary value, so people know they can't spend it. It features two adult tigers (one white) and a mother and baby monkey (sorry I don't know my monkey species).
 
On January 31 the Facebook page of Parcs Lumigny announced a new species arrival. The short clip shows two medium size crates but the species of animal is not revealed (and has not been revealed in any subsequent posts). Since the Facebook page is for both Le Parc Des Felins and their sister zoo Terre de Singes, I don't even know if it is a cat or primate (though I suspect the latter since they have just about every cat species they can feasibly get).
