They have shared an update about cheetah brothers Kumbe and Jabari who were released to the wild. Both are thriving as they adapt to their new home. They are such successful hunters they had to be caught up again to expand their radio collars they have put on so much weight and size which is fantastic.
 
They have announced cheetah female, Cleo has passed. She had 6 cubs while there with male Pendo, including 2 males Kumbe and Jabari who were released back into the wild. She battled diabetes late in life but after a decline they decided to put her down. Cleo was 11 years old.
 
Parc Safari is looking for new zookeepers to add to the staff. Just a heads up for any of you looking for a position.

On February 3rd, the zoo announced that a (0.1) generic giraffe named Agathe passed away at age 29.

On July 18th, it was announced that (1.1) blue wildebeest named Louis and Eugénie were transferred to Zoo de Granby in Quebec.

On July 21st, it was reported that the zoo celebrated its 50th anniversary.

Bit of an understatement :D There's that wooden balloons thing in the entrance, which has clearly been repurposed from other years, and a big banner, but that was all I saw. The huge gift shop had very few branded items to begin with, half of those said 40th on them, and there was nothing for 50th. I'll have photos up within the next few weeks.
 
On June 1st, 2023, it was reported that the facility opened a new waterslide park attraction called Tropical Oasis. It was also reported that the facility recently bought 9 electric 50-passenger "bush trucks" to replace the gas trucks they were previously using.

On August 16th, it was announced that the zoo transferred (0.2) greater rheas named Chip and Dip to The Calgary Zoo in Alberta.

Update on the renovations on June 16, the bears exhibit at Olduvaï Walkway should reopen this week. One of the Lions’ Tunnel should reopen next week. Part of the Cheetahs’ plain is now reopened. The safari is modernizing the exhibits

The lion tunnel has been opened back(partially). It will fully open on June 21.
The most exciting thing is that they will acquire or have already acquired a few snow leopards. They mentioned that you can see the snow leopard, hyena and lion. You can see a blurred image of a black and white animal in the second link. This is very exciting news about housing snow leopards, but the strange thing is that tigers were not mentioned in the video, and they have been removed from the website. There were about 2 individuals; they either died or were transferred out.
I personally think they will be housing the three snow leopard cubs born at Granby.

I dont know anything but I think you will find the snow leopards arriving will actually be Calgary's pair Tadashi and Leika. They were due to be shipped around now so they make the most sense. And they were to go to a non SSP zoo and Parc Safari fits that bill.

I am not sure if I will be going to Parc Safari next week because of this update(This is the first time attempting to go to Parc Safari). I guess I will go to Zoo Granby next week. Parc Safari disappointed me.
