What are the plans in Le Cornelle (Valbrembo) with white rhino?
They now have 1.1. Any additions planned?

What happened to their old female Cleopatra (arrived from Fasano in 1977)?

Le Cornelle doesn't say notices by a lot of time... I really don't know nothing
sorry

AFAIK, both Heini and Geraldine at Le Cornelle are from Hodenhagen, they are related. Cleopatra passed away in 2007.

Has male white rhino "Kusini" from Emmen arrived at Le Cornelle yet?

Le Cornelle never says new information about new animals, so I don't know

Good news from Le Cornelle, "Kusini" is doing well. He is staying indoor for some days now for settling in - next to their female rhino. When the weather is better he will be allowed to get familiar with the new built outdoor enclosure. As soon as I get photos I will post them. :D

Le Cornelle:
- New area under construction: "Savana" that will replace 5 old big enclosures. It will be opened for the end of March.

Savana

And I just found that the last year was arrived a Siberian Tiger from France and were born two White Tigers

It seems Le Cornelle are slowly changing into a themed animal park with several different habitat zones (giant tortoise island, rainforest and cheetah country). The new savannah really looks inviting. They have released their zebra into the new large savannah exhibit just this week.

I also expect some more changes in species and for some augmenting present stock with younger animals for breeding purposes.

Yes, I think that Le Cornelle are changing a lot, in these last two years they have renovated some areas and maybe they will add other animals with the empty enclosures of the animals that will be hosted in the new Savana area

Italian zoos are changing... Parco Natura Viva and Zoom Torino first, then Le Cornelle, Zoo di Pistoia, Parco Zoo Falconara, Parco Zoo Punta Verde and Zoo di Napoli
Both of them are making big changement!!
