Last year in November a new Asian lion male arrived from Budapest zoo, Hungary. The name of him is Aslan and he is celebrating 2 years on February 15. (the day after the Valentine´s day).

He is now together with the park's three females; Sarla, Ishara and Chanda.

The park will open a new desert building with new exhibits for sand cats and meerkats this year.

Some other news for this season include a new tiger exhibit and a return of the Dinosaurs which have been in the zoo since 2013.

On January 22 1.0 binturong, called Harry has passed away too.

0.0.1 Northern white-cheeked gibbon have been born on February 19.

The reason the male Binturong was putted down was because he escaped his enclousure and got in a fight with one of the clouded leopards and got too severe damages, hislife couldn´t be saved

0.0.1 Northern white-cheeked gibbon have been born on February 19.

Mother of the young is Malou and father is Trom. This is their second young.

2 Giant otter pups have been born on february 16.

The new desert building with Meerkats, Sand cat and Radiated tortoise has opened yesterday.

0.0.1 Lowland tapir have been born on Tuesday July 28.

The tapir baby is a female and have been named, Wilma.

Yesterday 0.0.1 Northern luzon giant cloud rat have send to Paris, France and 0.1 Paraguayan tamandua have send to Antwerp, Belgium.

Also 1.0 Fishing cat and 0.1 fossa have both arrived from Duisburg, Germany.

0.1 Maned wolf will also arrive later this year from France.

On August 18 a Tamandua was born to the pair Tamara and Eduardo. The young is a male.

Some news this year include:

''Lemurernas Värld'' (Eng: Worlds of Lemurs) - Walk-through exhibit with: Ring-tailed lemur, Red billied lemur, Lac Alaotra bamboo lemur.

This year will also, Zebras return to the park.

1.0 Giant river otter pup have been born this year and the pup have been named; Morris. Today lives 6 Giant river otters in the park (mom: Alua, dad: Yumbo and their 4 pups: Xingu (B 2013 - female), Rio & Lobo ( B 2015) and Morris.

Also the Dwarf hippopotamus indoor enclosure have been renovated.

The Swedish investment company, Mimir Capital AB has today at noon presented as a new owner of Parken zoo.

Behind the company is a German investment fund company. Mimir Capital is a company which work to turn companies from negatives to positives trends.

Were are the giant antedatera their are not on the zoos mapp in sthed ther are smale amerikan hores.Whyn are they geting red of oll the rare animals av get why comone animals. The zebra is a grants zebra and thyvare really comon and they are geting ring tailed lemur which i olmoste evry swidish zoo.Don get me worg and i Riley like this zoo and they still have som rare animal for Sweden at lets

Three Amur leopards cub have been born. I would guess from the name of them (Seja, Igor, Zino) that's a female and two males?

1.1 Asian lion cubs have been born to Chanda and Aslan, both Chanda & Aslan are first-time parents and Chanda takes care of the cubs very well.
