ZSL London Zoo Partulid Breeding Progams

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone knew the current status of the Partulid programs at any of the UK zoos (besides London)? I've heard whisperings that its going be moved from an ex situ to an in situ breeding program in the next couple of years.
Whilst this is fantastic since certain species (P.gibba) are doing fantastically in captivity, so much so that culls are becoming a regular occurance as there are a lack of institutions to take them, I can't help but feel apprehensive.
Would the ex situ program be shut down completely? Whilst reserves are being created in French Polynesia, it only solves the problem of habitat degradation- alien predatory species will still pose a huge threat. Surely it would be futile to move all of the existing collections back to the islands only to have them wiped out again? Perhaps I'm just being pessimistic, or it could be selfishness on my part because I like my little snails :(
