it seemed strange to me - basically it would mean that the animals are in permanently-lit enclosures. But it is a department store, so perhaps it really is open 24/7.
 
How did the zoo get all those rare species?The only gorilla in thailand,and linsang and ferret badger etc.

they bought the gorilla. The linsang and ferret-badger and other native species they probably also bought locally.
 
I paid 200 Baht last year. I think opening hours are much more limited than that but can't find my notes on the department's store's opening hours.
 
I was just there (6:20pm) and it's definitely not open 24/7. I guess I'll try again tomorrow.
