Paul & Lynsey's Zoo Tour

Jimmy's Farm was a morning visit at best, so we visited nearby Suffolk Owl Sanctuary in the afternoon. The Bataleur eagle was a highlight, along with our first yellow-headed caracara.

The other highlight was to be able put the intro into to this video, I've been holding onto it for ages, waiting for my first owl sanctuary.... ;)

 
I just googled it, apparently Alan took Jill to Eagle Heights in Kent. That's burst my bubble a little, thought it would've been more geographically correct!

Another lovely video. And I have done none of mine since way back when I said I was very behind. Even more behind now, especially as I've just had a couple of days at Chester Zoo!!

He is, but he also lived for a while in the Linton Travel Tavern, so he has feet in Cambridgeshire too! Either way, I am sure he would have loved the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary, and the hour or so it would have taken him to drive would have been a good opportunity to give the Rover 800 a spin....

I'm currently 18 videos behind. From the end of May (just before our 10 in 10 Netherlands trip) we were back to two cameras, so here's to sifting through 2 hours+ for each visit, to try and narrow down to 3-4 mins.... :(

Luckily I don't make videos of repeat zoos otherwise I'd have t quit my job just to keep up! o_O
 
That's where I am going wrong - I make a video of every visit. Ignoring the repeat visits, I only have a handful of new zoo videos to make, so that makes me feel a bit better, hehe!

I thoroughly recommend quitting your job to go to zoo's 5 days a week. It's the most enjoyable thing I've ever done! It's just the other two days writing things up and going through thousands of pictures and deleting many that becomes tedious :)
 
I have shamed myself into action - made the Chester video of my trip at the weekend (even if it is 10 minutes long!) and just rapidly sorted two from over a year ago. It must be said it is much easier to make the video a long time after the visit, when I am less emotionally attached to all the videos and instead can more objectively think "Yeah, that bit of video is rubbish, cut!"
 
It's quite nice to look back through the footage 6+ months late. For me, it brings back the memories of the visit. Do you post your videos anywhere?
 
No, mine aren't anything special, mostly just a nice way for me to remember my visits. Plus I have used music I couldn't post even if I wanted to!
 
We had a double trip to Mulhouse Zoo back in Feb (with Basel Zoo sandwiched between). Really enjoyed the park, though the big cat enclosures could be better.

 
As ever an excellent watch. I very much appreciate the time and effort that must go into these Paul. Keep em coming, they're great! :)
 
Thans @NigeW, I really enjoy making them, shame they take me forever. Have got 3 more on the go at the moment, hopefully won't be too long until the next is finished :)

Highlights have to be Maned Wolf cubs, tree climbing Snow Leopard and ACTIVE Pallas's Cat
