The zoo had two brown pelicans on display, but they were likely removed, passed or relocated.

Clearwater Marine Aquarium keeps 2.3 Australian Pelicans
Photo? This would be a new species altogether if indeed correct.
I've looked into it and I see they keep 4 Great White Pelicans, not Australian.

I think the confusion with Australian Pelicans might be that the black on the wings of Great Pelicans is only really visible when the wings are open, and so not an expected feature.
Quite possibly - though also the aquarium's website only lists 2.2 pelicans and only 4 pelicans are visible in any of the photos I've seen so far both on the website and Google in general. No idea where that supposed fifth female is coming from.

Not present AFAIK, or at least not on display.
Didn't realize until now that Brandt's and Pelagic Cormorants are basically absent from collections here; that seems surprising given how many of them there are and how many other seabirds end up as rehabs in different places.

That has surprised me as well, they're near impossible to miss along much of the Pacific coast yet are absent from collections. Not sure what the reasons are there but it's rather odd.
Bronx should still have American White Pelican.

A keeper at San Diego Zoo told me the last African Darter died earlier this year.

Sad news, but not unexpected at this point. Probably quite unlikely the species will ever return...

Busch gardens Tampa had at least 7 on display during my visit last week
Maryland Zoo switched out their three pink backed pelicans in 2021? to a pair of great white pelicans.
