Chester Zoo People Feeding The Animals!!!!

Ugh it bugs me to no end when people feed and harass animals! I remember about four years back I told a woman off about feeding a GRIZZLY BEAR at the Toronto Zoo.

At colchester i have the zoo reception number on my mobile. Last time i had to use it was when a man kept throwing his crisps to the zebra and animals in kingdom of the wild. Troy and the other female zebras came oover to eat them. I told this man to stop but he was laughing. I tried to find a zookeeper but it was a quiet day so no one else really saw it. I felt like chucking the crisps back at him.

On another day in the walkthrough avairy i noticed some fat woman carelessly flicking stones and something else to the hamerkops and hornbills. She did stop when i had been in there for a few seconds and soon left. Afterwards I had to find and tell a keeper that some woman was flicking stones at the birds.

I visited Palmyre Zoo in France a few years ago, and was astonished to find a viewing platform that let you feed and stroke the giraffes. I don't think any zoo in the UK would consider such a thing, partly on health and safety grounds, but mostly because no-one in their right mind would trust the average chav visitor on a school trip to behave appropriately.

South Lakes does that, but it's a supervised feed that can only be done at certain times.

And Colchester, if I remember correctly.

Ah cool, I imagine it's a great experience if you're a kid. Singapore did it too now that I think of it.

Colchester do not allow visitors to touch the giraffes. Visitors have tov stand behing a railing so are not in direct contact with the giraffes. Keepers are always on hand if anyone misbehaves lol!
