Jack Platt personal film. The (Perth) Zoo, 1936
Here's a colourised version of the clip you found, for your canva, if you want to use it @ Jayden8763:
*Its good to see Ranee (I) 0.1 the Asian elephant (or perhaps Shusheela 0.1), Pondo 1.0 the 'Common' hippo who came from to the zoo from Auckland, and some of the zoo's giraffes - maybe High (III) 1.0 from Kenya and the Zambian 1.1 pair who's names personally dont know (given 0.1 Tiny {1937-June 1973} was born the following year, wonder if her mother was already pregnant with her here in this footage?). Plus the Aus' or NZ' fur seal (likely an NZ/Long-nosed fur seals cheers
@Osedax); and one of the first/original polar bears they had in the '30's (though like the chimpanzee(s), the handsome dingo trio and the male lion in the video, their enclosures were quite small - as was the norm back then sadly). Could be a colourisation error but those flamingos sure seem pale, is it perhaps a low diet supply of carotenoids that caused it, if not a colourisation software error? as even Chilean flamingos dont seem to get quite that pale though could be very mistaken.
