In the past we had gallus lafayette but they were stolen. When phase 2 ends they will also be in the collection.

I'm the president of WPA Spain. I am currently carrying out with the help of ZIMS and EAZA the control and monitoring of the pure populations of Golden Pheasant (MonP).

WPA helps in locating breeders that have pure and quality specimens but as a zoo and although we are members of WPA we seek that progressively other zoos continue to house and maintain the most threatened species (NT, CR)

An impressive list indeed! I wish that more zoos would at least have four galliformes species.
But wouldn't it make even more sense to keep more species on a subspecific level? Specifically L. nycthemera, L. ignita, P. versicolor and G. gallus?

We want to keep more subspecies, but at the moment we are making aviaries to house the nominal species.
