Philadelphia Zoo Philadelphia Zoo News 2014

At this point I think all of them, and because they recently opened the new trail for them you never know which species will be seen in which exhibit (but I have not visited the zoo since they trail was opened, so this info is based on the stuff I read). Before the trail was opened, lions and tigers were always in their exhibits, but leopards, pumas, jaguars, and snow-leopards were rotated between 3 exhibits.

Interesting. So is it a daily rotation or do they swap hourly or something?

And one other question. I was looking at the zoo map and I saw that, next to the Small Mammal House, there's a small building called "The Solitude House". What is that?

This does not contain any animals. I seem to remember that it is a historical building that was there before the zoo was even founded.

I recently emailed the zoo in order to find out some information, and in it they mentioned that the zoo's last Common 'Amakihi has died over the summer.
