Phillip Island Wildlife Park

Just visited this place yesterday.
There's poo EVERYWHERE.
They either need some help or they need to close it down.
The pelicans stand around beside their little pond because their water is rancid.
It's really run down.
Isn't there standards for these private zoos?

Hmm.... I visited here about 2 years ago to the day almost.

There is poo everywhere, because they have scores of kangaroos and pademelons roaming across the entire property. I do not think it would be practical for them to be cleaning up all the time after all these animals, over such a large area. It's the same at Ballarat Wildlife Park too.

When I went, the drought was still at its peak, so there was no water in the ponds (or very little). I cannot, therefore, comment on the pond/pelicans.

I suppose that yes, the zoo is indeed a bit run-down, but 2 years ago it was not deplorable. Maybe things have degenerated more?

Anyway, my 2009 visit was pleasant, and it was not a bad place to kill some time if you are waiting to see the penguins I thought.
