All animals are safely accounted for, and our incredible keeper team acted swiftly to bring them into their night houses and ensure their wellbeing. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the rangers, operations and horticulture teams that stepped into action right away. The storm caused extensive damage across Zoo grounds, including more than a dozen downed trees, flooding and widespread debris. Out of an abundance of caution, the Zoo will be closed for the next two days as we focus on cleanup and restoration efforts. We are incredibly thankful for the dedication of our staff and the safety of our animals - and we look forward to welcoming guests back soon. | Phoenix Zoo
