Well some of us visited Zoo`s in December with snow while the rest wimped out!!

This should go without saying, but I hope all of us entrants have the decency to vote for a photo other than our own.

Well with conditions as it is, My parents decided not to risk the dreadful weather which could even cost us our lives, So I think thats rather sensible on their part.
I would'nt call it wimping out I would call being realistic.
And with so many Zoo's having to close for the weather I honestly didnt see the point with so many animals being inside keeping warm anyway.

Well yes it is sensible but then the conditions are not that bad here compared to some countrys, people in this country just look for problems like the weather to stop doing things,it all comes down to the fact that most people in this country just don`t have a clue how to drive in these conditions, hence the country grinds to standstill and yet I`ve got into work every day this week when others at work haven`t even though they had less snow that what I had to drive through to get to work.

Riziki imagine if the zoo keepers and staff thought the same what state would the animals now be in.
I know zoo's closed but the staff still had to feed and clean out the animals in there care.
Well done to all zoo staff that read these threads I appricate all the work you are doing through this bad weather many thanks

Indeed,
It is superb that the keepers are in most cases very determined to get into work and I agree the animals would be in a sorry state, people have to take chances but for a Zoo visit I cant say its worth it as the closest is a good half hour away in which the weather can chance very quickly.

Along with Adrian many thanks to everyone struggling just to get in and to get on with work :)
Im sorry Zoogiraffe but for me having just lost a fellow school pupil its best to be safe then sorry.

As long as you are careful and dont drive recklessly then you should be fine. It doesn't help either when some stupid people go way too slow and thinking there is ice everywhere. You can see whether the road is wet or not!

On a serious note here that was one very sensible drive in front of you then, because the slower you are going in these conditions the better as you have more time to react when you do hit ice,as from my own experience it the idiots that want to drive at normal speeds are the ones that end spinning, skidding or crashing into things in these conditions.

Riziki I can see your point now you've put it like that.
It's up to the person wether they want to travel or not.
