Closed Photos for site banner

I've got to say, not particularly fond of the floral banner. In my opinion, it makes the site seem more of a horticultural one rather than a zoo one (the giraffes worked much better)
 
I agree with Jimmy, as both of the Monarto Zoo shots worked really well. I loved both the giraffes and the lion.
 
Please anyone, what is that bird species sitting atop the banner?

That is a Crimson Chat - photo taken at Taronga Zoo on Saturday

So given that it is a Chat from a Zoo ... you could consider it to be a "Zoo Chat" :)

I decided to use this bird as the site mascot - the "ZooChat Chat" :D

I have a few images in rotation - one per day. The site is about zoos (not just about animals) and the floral clock and Topiary (kangaroo, elephant and emu) are a well known feature of the zoo and would be recognised by people who have been there.

The giraffes will be back in a few days :D
 
To be honest, I like the whole banner being apart of the same picture. But I do like the bird :)

The "ZooChat Chat" such an in joke for all of us. try explaining it to someone LOL.

Just some feedback, you know l love this site and appreciate all your work. BUT!!:D The cutt out banner pics look wrong in my opinion and the description text is just so wrong... I am wondering if you have done this in a hurry as it just does not seem your style.
