after viewing the photos on both sites, there are some similarities in some of the photos, but i believe this may be conincidnence, its like if you oput a green budgie on a peice of dowel in a galv. Aviary, no matter what galv aviary hes in its gonna look the same!

with sebbe deleteing the post i will not be doing that.
If you would like it reinstated sebbe could you please let one of the Mod/Admin team know.

the pictures have not been deleted from this thread they are on page 6.

you dont think it suspicious that all the photos here are different sizes and there is no uniformity in aviary design ?

As far as i can see none of the photo's are exactly the same, and if you put the same bird in an aviary then no doubt they'd look the same...

It is weird that all the photo's are of different size, as far as i can tell on both forums. But that could easily be explained by using different camera's (ie one in a phone, and one normal digital camera).

I'm not totally dismissing the idea that one is a fraud, because this is the internet so you can never be sure untill you meet in person. But i'm also not convinced that either one must be a fraud...

edit: the more i look at the pictures, the more i'm convinced they are completely different settings... Sebbe's pictures are on my computer on page 6 of this thread.

The 18th and 19th photos in the other forum are both in the same post by a member called Hugo from Portugal. They are identical to the ones on page 6 of this thread (look at the damaged concrete)

I have sent a PM to Hugo on the other forum as I believe he took the photos. If you look at Hugos photobucket website it includes photos of the grey peacock pheasants also on this forum.

Tragopan-portugal - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I appreciate what you are saying but look at the two side by side = Same picture

Yep I agree. I had a quick look and I found 4 identical pictures.

Where is Sebbe ?

I found five... Looking forward to find out what happened here. There probably is a very reasonable explanation.

Come on... if you look at this guys photo bucket its a mish mash of photos "borrowed" from loads of sites including arkive. Hugo on the other hand has a series of photos all of his pheasants in aviaries if identical design.
I think this guy has been having you all on

a members list search said that he signed in yesterday but he hasnt commented on this thread. surley he would have noticed that we are talking about him. im not going to make a judgement either way but i do think that its odd that he didnt say anything

Here are the 2 photos posed by sebbe in question (for anyone whos a little slow)

Rotschild or Mountain Peacock-pheasant. Funny birds, totally different from the Greys, much more interesting and already a favoruite among the childrens.

The Rotschild male

The two pictures above the ones you put up of the male Grey-peacock with the drinker or feeder in the background were the most obveous to me.

This zoo looks brilliant. I like the adjutants, hornbills and your birds of paradise.
/QUOTE]

Some wonderful photos here- I particularly like the Pheasants, Hornbills and Hartlaub's ducks, in fact virtually everything....wherever they have come from.

it'll be interesting to see if sebbe does have any reply to all this. I had noticed the different designs and construction materials of the various aviaries but put it down to simply due to it being a private zoo with the cages built with whatever could be obtained.

But going back through the entire thread with a hoax in mind, it does seem quite obvious how wide an array of photographic techniques there are. Some photos are very good, others are extremely poor, and they look like they are taken by many different people in several different settings (and fairly obviously on several different cameras). And the photobucket account is obviously just a collection of photos from many different sources.

A last thing which doesn't really have anything to do with anything but I thought it was wierd, on the first page of the thread is a photo of an adjutant. The top of the photo doesn't match the rest of the photo properly. Its like a piece has been cut out and the remainder stuck back on top. What's with that?

Covering a watermark by the owner of the photograph.

I like the fact that "he euthenised a female Red Bird of Paradise" because she was lonely. He clearly doenst know that Bird of Paradise hens raise chicks without help from the male (It wont let me use the c word) and that they are solitary birds.

Im surprised so many of you bought into it in the first place. The Marbled cat photos look 20 years old.

On a plus note I have agreed to exchange my monals for a pair of grey peacock pheasants with a little cash thrown in. Unfortunatly I have to drive to Liverpool to make the exchange.

what is the point in making up fake personas on a zoo forum any way? its now probabbly two in a short space of time why would someone go to all the trouble of finding all these photos and creating fake stories to go with them. the dont gain anything and seem to always get found out and disspear.
