Edinburgh Zoo PICS - Gelda Baboon Babies

Hi All,

I am new to the Forum, I stumbled across ZooChat earlier in the week, why it has taken me so long to get here, I have no idea!

We were at the zoo last Sunday (15th March) and I managed to get some photos of the new Gelda Gibbon babies, but they are not the best I have ever taken. But you know what it is like, sometimes you have to try and work with what you have available, wouldn't it be great if we could reach into the enclosure, wash the windows, and positions the guys the way you want them . . :p

Here's a link to one of the pics, I will try and upload some more photos later.

Thanks for the warm welcome Bele, and delighted you enjoyed the photo. I know what you mean about watching them, we could spend hours watching them too.

Glasgow Animal - Gelada Baboon Babies

hi TDH brilliant pictures!! last few times I have been through the baboons were at the top of the hill out of view!

Thanks Glasgowanimal! Sorry you have missed them the last few times you have been through, I can certainly identify with the sentiment! I always feel the same when we climb to the top and find the lions hiding behind the fence . . .

Do you know what number these births bring the Gelada Colony up to and what sexes these babies are? (ISIS being a little behind sometimes)
