My mistake on my end, turns out Nessie did pass on in 2021, the zoo just didn't report it.

According to @Jonathan Petersson SeaWorld Orlando holds a female elephant seal BTS. I’m unsure if this seal has ever been acknowledged publicly. Maybe in a USDA report somewhere. Apparently it was transferred there from SWSD.

According to the most recent MMIR (August 6, 2024) there remains one female Northern Elephant Seal in captivity in the US, currently located at SeaWorld Orlando.
The individual stranded and was taken to SeaWorld San Diego 6/7/2023, and then moved to SeaWorld Orlando 01/25/2024.

I can not confirm, but I had heard that the individual was being kept at SeaLion & Otter Stadium BTS.

The Aquarium du Quebec will acquire more new species of seal when their Louphoque project finishes. They previously said it was going to be done in Summer 2024. But construction has not started, maybe next year?
