That's great to hear. They had a video on their capybara this week and they mentioned the exhibit would open sometime in the summer. I'm glad it will be sooner than that!
Anything else notable?
Not entirely the former snow leopard exhibit looks expanded and there's going to be one Pygmy hippo
Jahari (male pygmy hippo) arrived last June from Louisville according to new studbook.
I know the sea otter exhibit was recently empty. What does Coolio's exhibit look like? Does it have water yet?
Yes sea otter exhibit is still empty coolios exhibit looks exactly the same as it used to but no water
Did you see springboks?
No they were gone
That makes room for lowland nyalas. I know the pufferfish exhibit is changing. They are not certain who will live there, but they are going to try some different species to see who likes the exhibit.

Springbok are still at the zoo and we're on exhibit today
Coolios exhibit still looks the same
Canadian lynx exhibit looks more decorated
Everything at jungle oddysey is complete except Pygmy hippo and zip line both of which are almost completed and still needs to be decorated
Pufferfish tank now has tetras and some other fish from the tropical forest tank
Also my YouTube video channel Pittsburgh zoo videos will have two new videos coming out today

I was there today too. The train track has been removed and replaced with a gravel walkway for Dinosaurs. I will be happy when the down escalator is open. That walking path is steep. They painted Coolio's exhibit gray and I am happy. When the algae grew in there before, you never saw the blue anyway.
Really that is interesting that you were there I was there from 10:30 to 1:30
