Planet Zoo Planet Zoo Beta

Game ran worse after the update!!! Even crashed where as it didn't last night.

Still impressed, a little annoyed I bought too infertile peacocks...haha sold them on and got some tortoise to hopefully breed loads, sell cheap to raise conservation credits.

Its such a good idea but people will abuse the system.

Finding its easy to make money on the game but hard to create anything fancy atm, I will get there.

Haha I was playing scenario and when Judy told me to adopt the warthogs she never came back. I was stuck waiting and the protesters started rolling in...

People looking through the game's files may have discovered the inclusion of Black Rhinos, but no official confirmation yet.
The folder of the beta reveals some interesting things : PlanetZoo
I found this on Reddit, so not sure how accurate it is, but it reveals a lot of animals planned for the official release.

So we may possibly get bison, pangolins, nyalas, Nile crocodiles, flamingos, ruffed lemurs, Japanese macaques, dromedaries, giant pandas, and Amur tigers as main exhibit animals.

Still no inclusion of any Australian or polar animals for that category though, so hopefully these files don’t give away the games whole roster.

And based on the terrarium animals in the reddit forum (beaded lizards, brown snakes, vipers, and hairy scorpions), we may finally get terrariums that are another biome (desert)!

Where did you hear the info on black rhinos? It isn’t mentioned anywhere on reddit forum.

I got this info from the surprisingly accurate Planet Zoo Wiki, but because it is run by fans of Planet Zoo, and the Black Rhino page has no source except for someone saying that it was discovered through datamining, I would take this information with a grain of salt. (But I wouldn't doubt the inclusion of an African rhino in the base game).

If everything found there proves to be in-game, that will be impressive! Pangolin would be sweet!

Looks like it'll be an Asian species, too! Manis genus. I'm expecting Indian, since it has the most classic "pangolin" look and is more terrestrial than the Philippine. But could be any of the four, really!

I'm at school right now and can't access the link (Reddit is blocked). What is the full list?

Things mentioned in the original post (I cannot access any of the replies):
Full animals
- Bison (unidentified species)
- Giant panda
- Nyala (unidentified species)
- Macaque; possibly Japanese
- Pangolin (unidentified species)
- Flamingo (unidentified species)
- Ruffed lemur (unidentified species)
- Nile crocodile (a Nile crocodile-specific disease was found in the datamine)
- Spotted hyaena (as good as confirmed anyway)

Exhibit animals
- Centipedes (unidentified species)
- Snails (unidentified species)
- Eastern brown snake
- Cockroaches (unidentified species)
- Beaded lizard
- Goliath beetle
- Rattlesnake (apparently Gila rattlesnake)
- Bitis viper (unidentified species)
- Hairy scorpion

One thing I noticed in the beta trailer that may or may not mean something - if you listen carefully around the 9 to 11 second mark (where it says 'Join the Exclusive Beta') there is a faint three-note call of a helmeted guineafowl audible in the background. Considering all the other animal sounds in the trailer are from confirmed in-game species, I hope it means we might get another new bird.

So I was watching a playthrough of Planet Zoo on YouTube earlier today and noticed the guineafowl call again in the background, so it is an ambient sound rather than an actual adoptable species. Hopefully the game gets at least a few more birds at full launch.

Been really getting into franchise mode, my good its good once you have got to grips with it all.

I have a small functioning zoo with 6 species of animals. Which most are breeding. Built my first animal house, AWD house with indoor viewing and the AWDs come in and out of the house. Not perfect because the guest paths it a bit screwed up but I know what to do next time.

The game is so impressive.

I seem to be getting a problem in franchise mode where the staff (keepers, vets, mechanics, etc.) just keep idling and wandering without doing any work so I can't get anything done. I've got animals stuck in the trade centre because no staff will get them into the exhibit even though I tell them to.

Have you set workzones?

My zoo started okay without them but you really need them.

I found a YouTube video video that said the way to fix this is to add more staff buildings.
