Some new animals confirmed - giraffe (subspecies not mentioned), springbok, blue wildebeest, saltwater crocodile, African wild dog, cheetah and iguana (species not mentioned).

Also, here is the second trailer for Planet Zoo that was released at E3 today, including footage of chimpanzees and crocodiles.

It's good to see that they have the defecation animation accurate for the hippos.

That is not gameplay footage by the looks of things and so wouldn't get your hopes up about animals defecating in the correct way.

The impressive thing appears to be those that went to the developers got it confirmed that scenary items will be interactive. So the chimps climbing on the frames, means everyones climbing frames for chimps will be different. That is such an improvement over previous games.

Also if the footage of in the trailer is indicative of gameplay then you will have to consider proximity of the structure next to enclosure boundaries and what you make the boundaries out off as they may be able to climb out.

You cannot sell an original game on small animals no one has heard of. Unless the game is a flop I expect a few expansion packs for this which will add more to it.

Also there E3 presentation was short but they said it would be a modern zoo with conservations one of the key elemenets.

It is also confirmed there will be tanks you can place for reptiles, so there will be maybe a limited number of smaller animals in game.
