Last time I checked it was only $9.99 USDIf only they added an emu (an extremely common zoo animal) and a few other well-known animals... watch them slap another ridiculous price tag on it

If there isn't a massive bird DLC I'm going to be very disappointed. In other words, I'm disappointed now.I don't understand some of the DLC logic in Planet Zoo, it's a zoo game but the DLC packs are woefully short on animals. The Australia pack has "Over 230 new building and scenery pieces", but we only get 5 animals?! This being after no Australian animals made the base game cut. And Dingo instead of Tassie Devil, Emu, echidna, or Platypus is plain disappointing. Though points for the cassowary finally boosting the bird roster for once.

I'm still shocked at the lack of penguins!I will be as well. We finally get a game where we can really make tropical houses and aviaries, and we yet we get left almost empty handed. We got Ostrich, peacock, Greater Flamingo, and now cassowary. Zoo Tycoon 2 had more birds just with the base pack and the first three expansion packs. And at least ZT gave us penguins...

I would like to refer back to my comment and say that Planet zoo is not a good zoo game. It is a building game, that just happens to have animals in it, which is why the DLCs have too much building pieces while offering the players a small amount of animals.
The only thing that makes it worse than Zoo Tycoon 2 is the lack of animals - as well as the repetition of similar animals - but it surpasses Zoo Tycoon 2 in all other aspects.
I expect African Rhinos to be added in an African DLC. After all, there is already a decoration of one in the game.And... still no African rhinos.![]()
What!? No kangaroo walkabouts? Why!?Got the new Australia DLC pack yesterday. I liked most of it; good animal choices and animations (marsupial pouches are present!) along with some great decorations (I especially like the rock paintings) make it my favorite DLC of the first three. The only problem I have with it is the inability to create a kangaroo walk-through enclosure (guests can go in koala enclosures though, so that's neat). Solid 9/10.
Not to mention walkthrough okapi and capuchin enclosures. It’s because they don’t do as much research as they claim, not saying they didn’t but it’s evident they don’t really apply it well at all. For example, bison are known to withstand subzero temperatures in the winter yet they’re sort of sensitive to cold in Planet Zoo.
They also have Giant anteaters available in walkthrough enclosures even though they can be pretty dangerous in real life
