Planet Zoo Planet Zoo!

My Thoughts:

Honey Badger: The Third Badger in the game and most Highly-requested, they don't care or give a damn. This animal represents both Africa and Asia, and it's a Zoo Tycoon 2 OG Animal from the African Adventure Pack

Lion-tailed Macaque: A second species of Macaque which is distinct from the Japanese Macaque, although they are a phased-out species in USA Zoos.

Pere David's Deer: The First Asian Deer Species for the Game that could open up for more Asian Deer like Chital and Sambar. It's also an extinct species in the Wild, found only in Zoos

Bornean Pygmy Elephant: Being half the Size of the Indian Elephant, a couple of Zoos have them, like Chendra from the Oregon Zoo and a Female who was diagnosed with tuberculosis from Fukuyama Zoo, Hiroshima, Japan.

Tanuki: Also known as the Japanese Raccoon Dog, is a unique species of Canid known to climb trees, the only canids that hibernate, and role in Japanese Mythology.

Blackbuck: one of the first Asian Antelopes added to the game, and it's an OG Species as a Downloadable Content Animal from the Original Zoo Tycoon.

Nilgai: The Second of the first Asian Antelopes, which is the largest of the Asian antelopes and can mix with the Blackbucks, Water Buffalos, and Indian Rhinos.

Malabar Rose: First time hearing it, at least we have our first free walk-through base game animal, and the sixth species of Butterfly added to the game.

Have to say I'm a little mixed on this one. Aside from the elephant (which can go sit in the corner with the HBB), I don't think there's necessarily any bad choices here. Though I was hoping for one slot to be a little more interesting, a crane or pheasant, or maybe at long last a cobra or python. Another round of triple hoofstock with primate and canid feels a little worn even though the picks are decent enough. Raccoon Dog at least is an oddball canid, which is nice. Don't see why we couldn't have gotten Sarus Crane or Himalayan Monal instead of the elephant, the rigs are already there.

The Malabar Rose is an interesting one, it's not a species I'd heard of before. It doesn't seem to really be kept in captivity but maybe I didn't dig deep enough. It's pretty different looking compared to the butterflies we already had which is nice, but I'd have preferred Atlas Moth or Paper Kite if I'm going to be honest.

For Autumn, my best bet for the Next Pack with Forest animals, and maybe it's going to be a theme now with Free Updates.

Animals:
1. American Black Bear
2. White-tailed Deer
3. Wild Turkey
4. Grey Fox
5. Bobcat
6. Barbary Macaque
7. Japanese Serow

Other Guesses:
-Elk
-Tiger Quoll
-Roe Deer
-Golden Jackal

What is the third badger besides European and honey?

Frontier realized that they still heavily rely on Planet Zoo as a source of revenue and need to keep updating it.
Frontier's FY2025 states that the Planet Zoo franchise accounted for 25% of total revenue, so common on Frontier, put more effort into the PZ and bring in new mechanisms like Aviary and Aquarium

As Frontier have recently touched up on the America's and now Asia in the last 2 packs, I possibly think they could add another African pack, and here are a few selected species I would love to see.

- Bat-eared Fox
- Banded Mongoose
- Black & White Colobus Monkey
- Black Stork
- Common Eland
- Congo Buffalo
- Eastern Grey Crowned Crane
- Gelada
- Greater Kudu
- Pink-backed Pelican
- Red Forest Duiker
- Rothschild Giraffe
- Serval
- West African Dwarf Crocodile

Not the species specifically, but other Rose butterflies in the same genus, especially the Common Rose (Pachliopta aristolochiae) can sometimes be found in zoos.

My suspicion is that the Malabar Rose was chosen due to its name being more attractive than the more widely kept Common Rose.

Also, I forgot the Mexican Grey Wolf. I know it's a copy-paste Species, but it's an endangered species with a conservation story, just like the Red Wolf.

@Thomas, if the Mexican Wolf were to be added, it would be the third subspecies (not species) of Grey Wolf in the game.

Preferably, I would rather have the Red Wolf over the Mexican due to be taxonomically different (depending on who you ask).

Honestly, if it were up to me, if a subspecies selector can't happen and things had to be kept the same as much as possible, I'd have made the Timber Wolf the Eurasian Wolf, replace the Arctic Wolf with the Arctic Fox, and put the Mexican Wolf in it's place. You'd still have three wolves, but each major zoo continent would have a wolf subspecies to use.

I think the next pack will be the African Animal pack. The roster may include the Serval, some antelopes (such as the Eland, Greater Kudu, Impala, or another species), the easy-to-copy-and-paste species like the second Giraffe or second Zebra, likely both. The Nile Crocodile is also highly possible. Looks like there is still little hope that we can have Shoebill in the future, b/c sometimes the Frontier likes bizarre-looking species like Proboscis Monkey and Saiga Antelope.
Here is what I want the African Animal Pack to have:
- Shoebill
- Secretary Bird
- Great White Pelican
- either Mantled Guereza/De Brazza's Monkey
- Aye Aye
- Serval
- Generuk (since we already have several African antelopes in the game, I personally think Eland, Greater Kudu or Impala won't bring anymore fun to the game, but the Generuk will, it is pretty unique and interesting)

Here is what I think the Frontier gonna make:
- Mantled Guereza
- Masai Giraffe
- Grevy's Zebra
- Nile Crocodile
- Serval
- Black-backed Jackal
- Greater Kudu

i don't think they would be repeating the same name, most likely a safari animal pack would be a better name.
