Hi, have just got back from a sunny holiday in west france!
this is my first review from the holiday, hope you enjoy it!
Planete Sauvage is one of the best safari parks in france if not europe, the collection is large and varied though outside the safari area the exhibits were dissapointing.
Safari
Best bit first! as soon as you enter that safari you are drawn in by the african style buildings and lush plants around the enclosures, key species to look out for were cheetah, tiger, wolf, hippo and african elephant which the zoo claimed had one ofthe biggest enclosures in france!
Overall Score 4.5/5
African Village
This part of the park was very badly organised with a few small concrete enclosures home to meerkats, racoons and parrots. However i did enjoy the reptile house which had a few large tanks with crocodiles and anacondas
Overall Score 2/5 (Reptile House gets a 3.5)
Monkey Forest
This part of the park was the most unique, macaques roamed everywhere you looked as you walked along a massive rope bridge, my only critism would be that they could add more variety of species to such a large enclosure
Overall Score 4/5
Also near by was a island home to simangs and the sea world complex which sadly was closed as the park is preparing to get dolphins next year, will defintely return to see that in a few years!
I will upload the photos later today, for now bye!
