Planned Exhibits for 2010 - 2011

That's wonderful reduakari. But i was commenting on AZA = quality, not on the facility itself. And Im sure you also know that the AZA has members that are drive-through parks.

Not AZA--probably just in it for the money (Wildlife World Zoo etc.)

And Im sure they were "just in it for the money" when they were AZA. Now they are just tired of the politics.

I realized I missed the Tracy Aviary opening.....so I've added it

Didn't see it mentioned here but a colleague of mine has been quite involved in an Asian themed exhibit at the Virginia Zoo. Believe he called it Tiger Trails or Trail of the Tiger, unfortunately both of their tigers passed away during construction but it will be home to several Asian species and will be bringing apes (orangutans and gibbons/siamangs) to the zoo for the first time. If it is anything like their Africa exhibit, it will be quite impressive. The sight lines of the Africa exhibit allow one to see Lions (which have been breeding quite well), rhinos, zebras, ostriches, giraffes and elephants all at once, and individually up close. It is quite impressive for such a small zoo.
