International outrage rises over Canadian polar bear hunt
From the article:
After three days of meetings, five Arctic countries -- Canada, Norway, the United States, Russia and Denmark -- declared Friday in Tromsoe, Norway that climate change is the most important threat facing polar bears.
The countries all signed the 1973 Agreement on the Conservation of Polar Bears, which was originally designed to protect the bears from hunting.
Of the five, only Canada allows the hunt.
