Port Lympne or Colchester?

Thanks guys, expect a review from Port Lympne by the end of this week, weather dependent!

Port Lympne is special. Howletts should really be a second choice.

Funny, I always regard them the other way around. Howletts has more visible Gorilla groups, lots of species closer together and is easy on the feet too as well as being where it all started.

But of course I wouldn't go all that distance to visit one without taking in both anyway!

Port Lympne if its sunny, Howletts if its raining. ive been to both on sunny & raining days & have found that this combo works the best to see most of the animals. oh yeah, one thing to look out for at port lympne is the metal ramp near the main gorilla house - its incredibly slippy when wet (as i found out over the easter)

Funny that, both me and my mum commented on how hard it must be for people with pushchairs and wheelchairs, its terribly slippery!

I wish I visited Howletts/Port Lymnpe on the opposite days that I did last week! Went to Howletts on Tuesday and it was gloriously sunny, PL wednesday to wind and showers!
