Do you think that the Marsupial Lion is still out there?

I follow the Thylacine Awareness Group on YouTube and today a new video was released detailing a possible sighting in Yorke Peninsula, 2010 of a Marsupial Lion trying to kill someone's cat. Luckily the cat survived. Here is the account of the alleged sighting:

If Forrest Galante sees this I hope he'll go looking for it sometime!

I’m skeptical, but there is always a chance that a species thought extinct to be rediscovered.

Fair point lol
This isn't a case of a species going extinct a century or two ago and being discovered - the Thylaceo is only known from fossils and became extinct at least 46 thousand years ago. The fact that the Thylacine Awareness Groups thinks this might be legit immediately discredits anything they say, IMO.

Hard to make much out of an eyewitness account by itself. On top of the general issue of not being able to verify how accurate the account or information is, memory can become significantly altered by the brain over time as new input is acquired... and 10+ years since the sighting is a long time for that process to occur. I'd be more persuadable if there was visual or physical evidence of some kind.

Oh I know, I know. Either way, I never said I was actually buying it.
