Playground for bears? Even better dealOf course they weren't. And there's actually plenty of free space around too, including the playground.

@Jana summarised the key information on Page 4 of this thread; but noted the omission of the tables of animal population changes over the course of 2024 (which can be found on the final pages in this edition of the report).
Amazing news! I suspect with all the necessary paperwork it will take a few years for these plans to actually come to fruition, but something good to look forward to in the long-term.Director Miroslav Bobek confirmed on his social media, that Prague, in cooperation with Stuttgart, started efforts to bring platypus to European zoos.
That 2 major zoos with some contacts to the Antipodes zoo community and conservation authorities make moves towards acquiring platypus seems to make it more an existing possibility. Really excellent when it comes to fruition!Director Miroslav Bobek confirmed on his social media, that Prague, in cooperation with Stuttgart, started efforts to bring platypus to European zoos.
So fare we have gaslighting the Australasian Association of Zoos and Aquaria into thinking they can get a breeding okapi back. That is fantastic news. Currently they’re only held in San Diego outside of Australia. Is anybody familiar with the process behind them acquiring the species?
Perhaps there is more going on behind the scenes than you are aware ofSo fare we have gaslighting the Australasian Association of Zoos and Aquaria into thinking they can get a breeding okapi back.

Maybe they will connect the planned enclosure with the existing one using some kind of overhead tunnel for the orangs ? I think it's probably the most plausible way to connect both buildings, at least for the apesYeah. I guess the complex should be somehow connected to the Indonesian jungle, but we'll see.
Most probably, there are not many other ways how to solve this.Maybe they will connect the planned enclosure with the existing one using some kind of overhead tunnel for the orangs ? I think it's probably the most plausible way to connect both buildings, at least for the apes
Another male? One more Raggianna bird-of-paradise from San Diego
It´s not exactly stated in the list, there is just "1". But I would guess that it´s probably another male. And while it reads it came from San Diego, this bird arrived at the same day with some pigeons from Walsrode, so I would interpret it that it physically also arrived from Walsrode but is still in ownership of San Diego.Another male?
