Explains why I didn't see any then as I did not go in the baboon reserve. They were probably having a hiatus on breeding, to keep numbers in check. But at least they still have both sexes, unlike WMSP which seems to keep a lot of female-only groups.Last time I saw a mature male Nilgai at KSP, they had 4 or 5 in with the baboons, of course separated from the females!
Hope I see or find out about these on Monday.
For the past few years I've only ever seen 2 females at knowsley I've never seen the male or the other 2 females

They recycle a lot of old footage. They showed Bira and Sinda together fairly recently on Social media when Bira is on the drive and Sinda is down with Miron at the enclosure (and have been since December 2020)I find it strange however because I'm sure over lock down knowsley posted a video of a male ostrich on the safari
I’ve also only seen the 2 ostriches over the last two years. The bongos can be quite elusive but they are certainly still there as Keenan says. Majority of times I visit they are not that visible (their choice). The two male grevy Zebra males arrived this year.
The experience can vary so much on the drive with the space being so big. We go at least once a week usually and some days you feel a bit disappointed for people making a visit as little on show.
You can then go the next day and the park is buzzing with activity. I personally really like the no feeding policy and lack of commercialisation compared to WMP etc. It does mean some days it feels quiet but surely the point of Safari park is the animals can choose to have their space if they want it. The Knowsley Lion pride are the most entertaining I’ve seen and as Embu says the Tiger enclosure is world class. They are moving more to the foot safari as the reality is the food & drink outlets, rides and shops are a big revenue source. There has been quite a bit of investment in Food & beverage this year. Unsure about breeding Nilgai but there does seem to be 1 male and multiple females. The emu is on the equatorial trail with the tapir, vicuna and Capybara. The zebras currently live in the smaller paddock at the side of Zone 1 I hope they will soon move to one of the rhino sections
Didn't the Emu live with the Vicuna in the paddock next to the Tapir?
