Private zoo popularity

Tinkerbell, is there any reason why you have posted the same post on four different threads? Do you really think people want to read the same thing four times?

I count nine now I think (I'm going to run out of fingers soon!). In fairness though, I think Tinkerbell is just very excited about Altina and one can't really fault that on a zoo-enthusiasts' site, and the threads get shuffled with each new post so they won't all stay grouped together like they are now.

up to fifteen now...I'm halfway through my toes!! Really it is getting a bit silly Tinkerbell!

In all fairness its sad how many negative comments are about on Altinas forums. Its an awesome zoo! and a lot of people dont seem to realise exaclty how many animals they have! I thought since not everyone will be checking all Altina forums i wanted a review available thats positive for people that have never been to Altina before instead of negative comments all the time. I have never seen a Zoo like it before in my eyes it beats all the well know popular zoos of australia that ive been to.

are you speaking of negative comments towards Altina on these forums? I don't think there's really been much in that line, most posters seem very supportive of Altina keeping maned wolves going in Australia and importing more maned wolves and hyaenas, to name just two examples off the top of my head.

True true but people mention how they shouldnt have to book and should be able to go at their own pace walk around and stick their camera in the fences to get better photos. This upsets me because for a Zoo thats only 7 yrs old and has only joined ZAA a couple of years ago they are doing an awesome job. Not all Zoos need to be the same. Thats what make Altina Different but they put altina down for it.

That's called having a difference of opinion. You're not going to change anybody's mind my copying and pasting the same thing on a dozen or more threads.

its just their personal opinion. You might note that the people who have said they dislike tours, still raved about how good Altina was when they visited (despite not being able to go around at their own pace).

Altina is a very new zoo and is growing remarkably quickly, and I would hazard a guess that every Australian on Zoochat is very interested in the place (especially as the owners do seem to hold the same views as a lot of us with regards to species management in the region ;))

that's a bit harsh boof. S/he got a bit carried away, as one does when new to something, but I'm sure s/he will be helpful to have on the forum given that s/he is involved with Altina and in a position to provide information on developments there.

Thanks i really do mean well.

I've been her long enough to see plenty of tinkerbells come and go. S/he needs to use some common sense when posting. Repeated posts in different threads is annoying. Altina zoo has its own thread. Use it. The Australian section on here is slowly dying. There's not many active posters on here any more. A new member is always welcome but like I said, use common sense.

That's not entirely true. I don't have positive or negative thoughts about Altina - I've never been there, and I like to form my own opinions based on my visits/experiences, so at this stage I feel neutral.

But had I seen the same post 15 times, and in threads unrelated to the post, I would have gone 'off' Altina. As it was, I saw only two versions of the post.

My point is - by posting the same thing countless times you can change someones mind, but not always for the better.

:p

If you are a bona fide/serious poster, you are very welcome to participate but please restrict one post to one thread only, not reproduce the same thing on multiple threads as it serves no purpose whatsoever. Thanks for your co-operation.
