Protection for feral Green parakeet

There's actually some debate as the whether or not they are feral. The natural range is just south of the border, so there is every likelihood that some of these birds are wild (same with Red-Crowned Parrots). I've birded the Valley several times. The conures are easy to see. They congregate in a busy area of McAllen.

As for the rest of the Valley, yes, yes it is epic. So of, if not the best birding in the US.
 
By definition feral can only apply to a domesticated animal, which these birds are not. Introduced? Perhaps, but feral? Impossible.
