Interesting - are they reputable places who would have any chance at actually having them or are they simply glorified hybrids?

There's plenty claiming to have Bengal too

I suspect the likeliest option is that (at best) they are Malayans being held by places that don't recognise that particular split - a bit like how the Berlin collections still classify their Malayans thus - and at worst they are Heinz 47 tigers.

These are places like DeYoung, Out of Africa (AZ), Tiger World (NC). I wouldn't even give them that much credit.

Trying not to be pedantic, but 47 should be 57.
Ie Heinz 57 varieties.
