The Paradise wildlife park has exported - two female satyr tragopans and three female and one male Temminck's tragopan to the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park in Darjeeling.
10 birds were sent originally, but 2 males each of satyr and Temminck's died on a stopover at Singapore.

Hope for tragopan brood

Its a shame four died in transit. I know alot of effort went in to them at Paradise!

Yes, still the place they were destined for is a one of the best zoos in India, Darjeeling really has a nice set up.

Yes, a real shame , the trouble is India is a long trip and male Tragopans are particularly highly strung compared to the more reserved hens. Pity , better luck next time I guess.
