there are two males born to the tipperary pair - both still with their parents at cairns.

so we need another girl from the taronga pair.
 
from what I've seen and read, the hunter didn't kill it because it was a hippo, and probably would've left it alone if they had discovered that it was. If I did hunting, I too would have shot it.

Apparently there were four hippo at Tipperary, the breedig pair and two offspring, a female and a male. That was before the move and the subsequent births of the two males at Cairns. So there should be another male around somewhere.
