It can just be a momentaneous outlier. These things suffer fluctuations and you need a bigger sample size (number of births) and a larger time scale (number of sampled years) to see the real trends. Unfortunately, the birth sex ratio of the last 5 years remains female-biased. Males also suffer from higher mortality rates, so some of those boys will not reach breeding age, unfortunately.
 
Interesting the birth of twins at Berlin, does anyone know on many other occasions of twins being born and if they have ever both been successfully reared?

Tigi came 2007 to Szeged from zoo Olomouc. Olomouc had only 1 breeding pair in its history.

- female Blanka born 5.4.1986 in Zoo Usti nad Labem

I have her name as Ruzenka from Olomouc (born 4-3-2006). I assume Szeged did a name change!!!!

They are no longer at Lisieux/CERZA. Though I have no idea where they are now.

Where did the Lisieux breeding female Nyande originate from?
 
In Jihlava a female is born. Her parents are Pedro/Mendes (*Sánto Inacio) and Tofi (*Jihlava).


PS. the baby hippo born last year to the same parents have not survived so this is first offspring for both of them.
