Hello everyone. Lately, I've been curious about the exact dimensions of the Aviary located in the Queens Zoo. I have searched the internet extensively but have come up with nothing. I was wondering if anyone here might have the answer.

Several websites state that the dome is 175 feet wide and was built for the 1964 World's Fair. This article mentions that the dome covers "a half-acre":

Hello everyone. Lately, I've been curious about the exact dimensions of the Aviary located in the Queens Zoo. I have searched the internet extensively but have come up with nothing. I was wondering if anyone here might have the answer.

Its 175' diameter giving area of 24052 sf. Thats a big space. I've never seen it. No idea of height, website didn't say. Google 1964 Worlds Fair Churchill pavilion, which was taken down and moved to Queens zoo as an aviary.

Oops, Snowleopard on same trail but atleast we got same dimension!

It should be pretty easy to get the height just by finding a photo showing the whole dome - measure the base and height of the dome in the photo and because you already know the base is 175 feet across you can then work out what the height is.
