According to a recent episode of "The Zoo", 1.1 king vultures (I think both from Sacramento Zoo) are on display alongside the thick-billed parrots and burrowing owls. Below is a link from Animal Planet showing the info about the episode. Side note, the vultures (and burrowing owls) do not appear on the zoo's map on the zoos website.

There were no vultures on my visit today, and they weren't signed.
The TV crew were at the Andean bear enclosure this morning. Only the male bear was out. Putting 2+2 together I suspect they might announce a cub soon (keeps fingers crossed).
I was almost thinking Bouba, the male Andean bear, was still in D.C. during 2018 breeding season. However, their past offspring, Beorn was on exhibit in D.C. at the end of August. So it looks like Bouba did make it back to Queens Zoo last breeding season and a cub is very possible!
I went to the zoo on 6/14, and the vultures were there (see the three below pictures), but no signs posted. I asked a keeper about it, and he said they were in Queens for about a week at that point and that the vultures spend the colder months at the Bronx Zoo.

Hi, I am planning to visit NYC in the fall and want to go to the queens zoo specificly to see pronghorns. What is the current size of the herd and can you easily see them (because this visit will bassicly be a quick walkthrough)
I'm pretty sure the herd is kept mainly behind the scenes in a yard only visible behind the Elk enclosure unfortunately. They may occasionally be seen mixed with the bison but I don't know. You'd have much better luck if you managed to make your way to Rhode Island's zoo sorry to say.

Thanks, i don't think we have time to go to Rhode Island. We are going to Atlanta via Washington and the Blue Ridge Parkway. So if you have a suggestion for a zoo along the way that have pronghorns (or just a nice zoo ) i'd like to hear of.

Can't think of any in that area. What kinds of animals do you like? Recommend Luray zoo for snake lovers, VA Safari park for that kind of experience, Bright's zoo for antelope and other mammal lovers, Creation Kingdom Zoo for rare animal lovers, TN Aquarium for reptile lovers, and Rainforest Adventures zoo also for rare animals.
Make a little detour on your way to DC and stop at ZooAmerica in Hershey! They have a couple of pronghorn
They're also the only holder of American Marten in the USA.
The zoo has announced via Instagram that three Canada Lynx cubs were born over the closure period and are now on-exhibit.
