Going to the zoo today I will be able to confirm if there are cubs out.

Talked to a zookeeper and she said that the 3 cubs are 2 boys and a girl and were born in January to mom Nicole. They are still currently unnamed and this is their first week out on exhibit. Also was sad to here her say that Bouba the male Andean Bear passed away last year.

-A helpful tip to ID the bear cubs is that the female apparently has the most white on her face, and it extends to the top of her head. The two males have white markings lower on their faces
-There is at least one trumpeter swan cygnet in the main waterfowl pond across from the alligators

A Southern Pudu fawn was born on May 22nd! The other southern pudu fawn born in June 2024 is slated to move to another zoo in the near future.

The zoo shared an update on their social platforms yesterday that male Andean bear Ransisku, who came from the San Diego Zoo, is settling in well in Queens and is now on exhibit with female Coya!
