It is really interesting to see how short the species list is for this place, and to also see that they focus almost entirely on mammals and birds. I guess having a limited collection makes sense for a zoo built on so few acres, although I could also see them having a more well rounded collection if they kept additional smaller species.

If I remember correctly the theme of the zoo is "animals of the Americas", so that guides their species collection.
 
I will say the aviary does have more species of bird than listed during the warm months. As well the front duck pond holds a few more species, most of which are captive. And the farm area is extensive and home to a variety of interesting domestic breeds. But it is the smallest of the WCS zoos in collection size.

Also the zoo has a bison exhibit not included on this list. It used to hold pronghorn but from what I heard they may be on there way out.
