Does anyone know any Zoo's in Europe (ideally France or Germany) that have any unusual species. Been watching this series online about natures weirdest and cutest animals and there were a few that were shown I hadn't even heard of before. One was a Quokka.
Is there any zoo's in Europe that have any weird and wonderful animals as planning a trip away for September in France or Germany and would be nice to go to a Zoo or two out there which may have something different than what I've seen in the UK. Many thanks in advance.

If you want to see what zoos in Europe hold specific species, you should check out zootierliste.

I’ve been to Rottness Island in Western Australia where Quokkas live. Incredible little animals. Also, as I drove up the coast I saw a road sign with an animal on it that I had never heard of before… it was a Bilby.
Not enough zoos hold Australian animals yet Australian wildlife parks (see Caversham WP in Perth) hold lots of their domestic animals.
